Brivo

Chief Financial Officer

Finance and Accounting - Austin, TX - Full Time

Company overview - Brivo + Eagle Eye Networks (Combined Company):

Brivo and Eagle Eye Networks have come together to create a category-defining, cloud-first platform at the intersection of AI and the physical world. Our mission is simple and ambitious: make physical spaces safer, smarter, and more autonomous—from single-site businesses to global enterprises.

The intersection of AI and the physical world is already transforming sectors like robotics and autonomy. We believe physical security is one of the largest, most under-digitized frontiers of that same thesis. Every door, camera, credential, and event stream is a real-time sensor network. When unified in the cloud and enhanced with AI, physical security becomes a system of intelligence: preventing incidents, accelerating response, improving operations, and enabling entirely new workflows across facilities, retail, logistics, healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure.

The combined company is operating at significant scale—hundreds of millions in revenue—with a recurring-revenue engine, strong retention dynamics, and a large, expanding ecosystem of integrators, channel partners, and technology alliances. We are building the cloud control plane for physical access + video + intelligent analytics, positioning the business to be an IPO candidate.

To realize that opportunity, we are hiring a transformative CFO who can both integrate two businesses and lead the company to public readiness—while serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board in shaping the next phase of growth.

The Role:

As CFO, you will lead the financial and operational foundation of the combined company through integration and into its next chapter as a public-company-ready market leader. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role with a mandate to:

  • Integrate financial systems, processes, and teams post-merger
  • Build IPO-grade finance, controls, and governance
  • Elevate strategic finance and operational rigor to accelerate growth and margin expansion
  • Help shape capital markets strategy, long-range planning, and investor narrative

You will report to the CEO and partner closely with the Board, executive leadership team, audit committee, and key external stakeholders.

What You’ll Own:

1) Post-merger integration leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end integration of finance functions across two operating companies: accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, procurement, billing, and analytics
  • Design and execute the integration blueprint: org design, target operating model, process harmonization, shared services strategy, and timeline
  • Unify critical finance infrastructure, including:
    • Chart of accounts, entity structure, and consolidations
    • Revenue systems and billing (subscription + product/equipment + services as applicable)
    • Close process, management reporting, and KPI cadence
  • Build a scalable operating rhythm across leadership teams—ensuring a single “source of truth” for performance, pipeline, and unit economics

2) Public-company readiness and IPO execution

  • Drive readiness across the full stack of public-company requirements, including:
    • SOX 404 program design and execution
    • Internal controls, policies, and documentation
    • Audit committee readiness, governance practices, and Board reporting
    • PCAOB audit readiness and external auditor management
    • IPO planning: timeline, workstreams, bankers/lawyers, S-1 readiness, and reporting requirements
  • Establish SEC-ready reporting, disclosure controls, earnings preparation, and a durable investor relations operating model
  • Partner with the CEO and Board to craft an IPO-quality equity story rooted in durable growth, retention, and AI-driven differentiation

3) Strategic finance and performance management

  • Lead FP&A with a focus on clarity, speed, and decision utility: annual plan, rolling forecasts, long-range plan, and scenario modeling
  • Define and institutionalize core SaaS/recurring metrics and operating KPIs, such as ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC, payback, churn, gross margin mix, attach rates, and cohort economics
  • Build a data-driven model for pricing, packaging, margin expansion, and product investment tradeoffs
  • Partner with GTM leadership on pipeline quality, channel economics, territory design, and capacity planning

4) Capital strategy, treasury, and risk management

  • Lead capital allocation decisions across growth investments, integration costs, and margin priorities
  • Own banking relationships, liquidity planning, working capital optimization, and risk management
  • Provide leadership on M&A integration readiness and future strategic transactions as appropriate

5) Leadership, culture, and team building

  • Inspire and scale a world-class finance organization that combines high standards with high velocity
  • Attract, retain, and develop exceptional talent across controllership, FP&A, systems, tax, and procurement
  • Set a tone of ownership, transparency, and operating discipline—without creating bureaucracy

What success looks like (first 12–18 months):

  • A unified finance org with clear accountability, talent density, and “one company” operating cadence
  • Close and reporting accelerated to a best-in-class timeline, with reliable forecasts and decision-grade dashboards
  • Harmonized revenue recognition, billing, and customer metrics across products and regions (as applicable)
  • SOX program implemented with strong control maturity and minimal disruption to the business
  • IPO readiness achieved across audit, reporting, governance, and investor narrative—positioning the company as a credible public-market candidate

What We're Looking For:
Required experience

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership, including CFO/VP Finance roles in growth-oriented technology businesses
  • Demonstrated success leading finance integration in a merger or complex multi-entity environment
  • Deep expertise in recurring revenue/subscription models and the operational levers that drive efficient growth
  • Proven track record building finance functions that scale: systems, processes, team, and controls
  • Board-level communication skills: ability to translate complexity into crisp decisions and tradeoffs
  • High integrity and strong judgment; comfortable operating in an environment with high standards and high speed

Strongly preferred

  • Prior CFO leadership through IPO preparation and/or execution, or serving as CFO in a public company environment
  • Experience with businesses combining software + physical products/edge devices + services ecosystems
  • Familiarity with global operations, channel and integrator ecosystems, and multi-product pricing/packaging strategies
  • Experience implementing or scaling modern finance systems (ERP, billing, consolidation, planning) and building strong data foundations

Leadership traits

  • Builder mindset: you’re excited to design, not just maintain
  • Operationally fluent: you can partner with product, engineering, and GTM without “finance translation layers.”
  • Calm under pressure: integration + public readiness can be messy—you bring structure without drama
  • High bar, low ego: you elevate the room and develop leaders around you
  • Narrative + numbers: you can craft an investor-quality story grounded in performance reality

Why this role is compelling:

  • Category leadership potential: a rare opportunity to define the modern cloud + AI platform for physical security
  • Scale and momentum: hundreds of millions in revenue with meaningful growth levers ahead
  • The AI-physical world thesis, applied now: real-world sensor data, real-time decisioning, and expanding autonomy use cases
  • A true “build + lead” CFO seat: integration + IPO readiness + strategic partnership with CEO/Board
  • Material impact: the CFO will shape outcomes, not just report them

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive executive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, and meaningful equity participation aligned with IPO value creation.

  • Medical Benefits: We offer competitive medical, vision, and dental plans. Company offsets premiums.
  • 401k plan with company match!
  • Weekly Lunch: Food is love. Especially when it is free.
  • Snacks: You will never go hungry.
  • Culture: Innovation drives our vibe.
  • Diversity: We embrace our global presence, the diverse ideas and backgrounds of our team to improve our culture, our products, and grow our people and our business.
  • Unlimited PTO: We value our employees’ work/life balance and want you to spend the time off you need.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
